Troubleshooting
The display stays dark
- Check it over USB. Connect it to the settings page. The display turns on while connected. If it does, power and the screen are fine, and the problem is what turns it on (step 3).
- Power: 12 V on pin 5 and ground on pin 1 (pinout), and the fuse.
- Ignition source:
- CAN signal (Display on) needs the Resolve Controller on the same CAN bus and switched on (ignition on, or charging), or, if you changed the Display on CAN signal, that signal at 1. Its card on the settings page shows the live value. Check the CAN wiring below.
- Ignition wire (pin 7) needs 12 V on pin 7 with the ignition on.
Error card
| Message | Check |
|---|---|
| Missing VCU, INV, BMS or OBC | That part has power, and its CAN wires reach the display's bus |
| All four missing | CAN H and CAN L (pins 6 and 2) the right way round, and the bus terminated at both ends (Wiring) |
| Low 12V | The 12 V battery's charge, and the display's 12 V and ground wires |
| Isolation fault | The battery reports a high-voltage insulation problem. Have the high-voltage system checked. The message stays until the display restarts |
| BMS error 201–207 | The battery's own fault. Look up the code in the Owner's Manual; LeafSpy shows the battery's fault in detail |
Wrong or missing values
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Power graph shows regen above zero | Flip the sign of the Current (or Power) signal's Multiplier: 1 becomes −1, −1 becomes 1 (CAN signals) |
| Power graph stays empty | Open the power graph's CAN signals on the settings page. The live value on each card shows whether the display receives it |
| G-force meter not at zero when standing still | Level now (G-force meter) |
| Temperature in the wrong unit | Temperature unit setting |
The settings page does not connect
- Use desktop Chrome or Edge.
- Try another USB-C cable: many only charge.
- Close other tabs with the settings page, and other programs that use serial ports.
- Unplug the display and plug it in again.
- Still nothing: install the firmware from the firmware page.
Unexpected restarts
General → Restarts counts restarts the display did not expect. A power drop usually means a loose 12 V or ground wire. For anything else, please contact us with what the line says. Clear resets it.
